Saved $7, but still thinking of sushi

January 5th, 2010 at 05:21 am

Almost every Monday I take my kids to their karate class (DH likes to watch Monday Night Football). There is a japanese restaurant a couple of stores away and I love this one dish there. I treat myself there once in a while. The item is delicious but full of calories. I am starting my diet again and wanted to indulge one more time before the diet. I kept looking at the restaurant, but I stopped myself and saved $7. As I have already spent half of my allowance for the week (son went bowling today), I am really happy that I had so much self-control.

Here's to a great week for you all and good luck with your savings goals.

I just noticed that they have opened a new sushi restaurant by my school... and the big selling point? They DELIVER. This is dangerous. I'm not exactly living on an annuity from mommy and daddy during school. My only hope is that their sushi is terrible... Wink Jerry

Yes, self control is important. What I try to do is, see control for a while (say diet) and once in a while I break the control (take rich food once in a week or so). This is how I do to manage the regularity.
