It's been a while . . .

It has been about two years since my last entry. During that time, a parent passed away, I sold my house, moved my family, had a job transfer (same job in a new location), and had some major remodeling done to my new house. The remodeling really took a toll on my savings, but I have finally settled in (although I'm still trying to get used to the weather here) and am ready to work toward my financial goals again. It's good to be back. Merry Christmas!

    Good that you had a savings and you cut your coat (remolding your house) according to your cloth (savings). Marry Christmas.

    Welcome back! It sounds like life has kept you plenty busy, but it is great that your decisions were able to lead to a remodeling within your savings. That offers some insurance that you aren't adding financial stress to your move. So, are you in a colder or warmer climate now? It can be a big adjustment, either way.
